The arch-shaped steel structure is currently being constructed over the Chenab River between Bakkal and Kauri, in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir. When completed, the bridge will be 1,315 metres long, with a 480 metre-long trussed arch span. It stands 359 metres above the river Chenab and has a 650 m long viaduct on the Kauri side. It is in the development stage.
